Gomphrena strawberry is an Exotic Summer season flower,Gomphrena Strawberry Fields, also known as Globe Amaranth or Rio Grande Globe Amaranth, is a low-maintenance, bushy, annual plant with bright red flowers that resemble strawberries:
 
Flowers: The flowers are actually bracts that are deep red with tiny yellow flowers inside. 
Plant height: The plant can grow to be 50–60 cm high and 30 cm wide. 
Bloom time: The plant blooms from early summer to the first frost. 
Soil: The plant tolerates most moderately fertile and well-drained soils. 
Sunlight: The plant grows best in full sun with regular moisture.
Drought and heat tolerance: The plant is fairly drought tolerant and very heat tolerant.
Propagation: Sow seeds in early spring at a temperature of 59° to 64°F. 
Problems: The plant can sometimes be affected by gray mold and fungal leaf spots.
Uses: The flowers are great for cutting and drying.
 
Gomphrena seeds can be started indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost and transplanted outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.
