NM Calendula’s vivid orange or yellow flowers brings color to the garden, and also adds zest to salads and similar dishes as well. It is a very popular plant which is easily cultivated through seeds. Seeds are sown in nursery beds and later transplanted into the flower beds. However direct sowing can also be done. It takes 90 days to flower and is among the first few to flower in winter. The flower remains open for 12-15 days. It gives heavy bloom with profuse flowering and is easy to collect seeds and store.
